Medals
THE LORD STRATHCONA MEDAL
This medal is awarded for demonstrating proficiency in the skills required to be an Army Cadet. One medal may be awarded per year, however it will only be awarded to an appropriate candidate.
Selection Criteria:
- high standard of physical fitness
- minimum silver star qualified
- attendance of 75% of parades in the year of application
- attendance of 50% of training activities in the year of application
- three years of cadet service
- regarded as an exemplary cadet by peers
THE LEGION MEDAL OF EXCELLENCE
The Legion Medal of Excellence is awarded for demonstrating a high level of commitment to the Cadet Corps and to the community. One medal may be awarded per year, however it will only be awarded to an appropriate candidate.
Selection Criteria:
- participating in at least three community service events outside Corps citizenship activities
- regarded as an exemplary cadet by peers
- good attendance at parades and training activities
