YOUR SUPPORT HELPS ENSURE A PROGRAM FULL OF ADVENTURE AND FUN
Volunteer to assist at one of our events
We always need help to run our special events and activities. Cook fresh rations on an FTX, serve hot chocolate and cookies on Remembrance Day or help us set up and run fundraising activities at our Annual Ceremonial Review.
Become A Board Member For The Sponsoring Committee (SC)
The SC is a group of parents, guardians, and adult volunteers who support the corps in a number of ways. More information can be found here.
Volunteer your time on one of the SC Sub-Committees
- Recruiting Committee
- Public Relations and Communication Committee
- Fundraising and Canteen Committee
- Annual Ceremonial Review Committee
Becoming A Volunteer Or Civilian Instructor (CI)
Volunteers and Civilian Instructors directly supervise and instruct cadets. The SC is responsible for recruiting and screening volunteers to join the corps. Becoming a volunteer may lead to a paid position as a CI.
Join The Cadet Instructor Cadre (CIC)
Many former cadets, parents, and volunteers choose to join the Canadian Forces as a CIC officer. CIC officers are employees of the Department of National Defence. Joining the CIC can be a lengthy process, as all processing goes through the Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre. For more information on the CIC, go to ‘Links’ > ‘Cadet Instructor Cadre.’
